Yarn certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 – what this means
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a laboratory test for harmful substances: the yarn is tested and has to come back free of chemical residues that are hazardous to skin, against limits stricter than the law requires. The certification covers the yarn, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our own factory in Prato.
Cashmere certified The Good Cashmere Standard® – what this means
The Good Cashmere Standard® is an independent program run by the Aid by Trade Foundation and dedicated to the welfare of cashmere goats: the farms that join are audited on how the animals are treated, on working conditions and on how the grazing land is used. It covers the fiber upstream, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our own factory in Prato.
How do I wash the pashmina without ruining it?
By hand, in cold water, with a detergent for delicate fibers. Don’t wring it: press the water out with a soft towel and dry it flat, away from heat and sun. Single-ply cashmere is more delicate than a two-ply knit, so follow these steps closely.
Can I have it gift wrapped?
Yes. You can add gift box packaging at checkout. It’s a paid option, and the pashmina arrives in a box of its own.
Does the cashmere itch against the skin?
No. Cashmere fiber is finer than ordinary wool, so it doesn’t prickle the way wool can. You can wear it against bare skin.
Is there anything to pay when it arrives?
No. The price includes duties, taxes, and shipping, and we ship as the importer of record, so there is nothing to pay the carrier on delivery. It ships from Italy by UPS Express, 3–5 business days.
What if I need to send it back?
Free returns within 30 days, with a prepaid UPS label. One free return per order; any further return shipping is deducted from the refund. Orders placed in November and December can be returned through January 31.

A pashmina to wind around the neck like a scarf or let fall over the shoulders as a wrap: nearly 79 inches long, 27 inches deep, and light enough that you forget you have it on. Folded, it takes up almost no room in a bag. In coral, over a navy dress at a summer wedding once the sun goes down.
100% cashmere and nothing else — pashmina names a style of shawl, not a fiber, so here is the composition in full. It is knitted in a single ply rather than a two-ply yarn, and that is what makes it this light and this soft; it also makes it more delicate than a two-ply knit, so the washing instructions matter. Knitted in our own factory in Prato, in the Tuscan textile district. Origin traceability certified Tfashion 100% Made in Italy, which certifies the making and not just the label. The yarn is certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and the cashmere is certified The Good Cashmere Standard®.
