The Responsible Wool Standard is an international standard for sheep welfare and grazing land management: it prohibits mulesing and follows the wool through the whole chain, from the farm to the spinning mill. It covers the wool, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our own factory in Prato.
Viscose LENZING™ ECOVERO™ – what this means
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is a viscose made by Lenzing from wood grown in responsibly managed forests, in a process that uses less water and emits about half the CO₂ of conventional viscose; every fiber is traceable back to its origin. It covers the fiber, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our own factory in Prato.
How do I wash the balaclava?
Hand wash cold, or use the wool or delicate cycle, with a wool detergent. Don't wring it: press the water out with a towel and dry flat, away from direct heat.
Does it itch on the face?
No. The cashmere and extra-fine merino in the blend have a fine fiber, and the piece is made to sit against the face and neck.
How does one size work?
It measures 16.5" high and 10.75" wide (42 × 27 cm), and the knit has stretch: it fits different heads and necks without gripping.
Is there anything to pay when it arrives?
No. The price includes duties, taxes, and shipping, and we ship as the importer of record, so there is nothing to pay the carrier on delivery. It ships from Italy by UPS Express, 3–5 business days.
What if I need to send it back?
Free returns within 30 days, with a prepaid UPS label. One free return per order: a second return on the same order is shipped back at your own cost, and nothing is deducted from the refund. Orders placed in November and December can be returned through January 31.
