The Responsible Wool Standard is an international standard for sheep welfare and grazing land management: it prohibits mulesing and follows the wool through the whole chain, from the farm to the spinning mill. It covers the wool, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our own factory in Prato.
Viscose LENZING™ ECOVERO™ – what this means
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is a viscose made by Lenzing from wood grown in responsibly managed forests, in a process that uses less water and emits about half the CO₂ of conventional viscose; every fiber is traceable back to its origin. It covers the fiber, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our own factory in Prato.
What are the side buttons for?
They change the way it fits. Fastened, they hold the poncho closer at the hips; unfastened, they open it into a wider shawl you can drape over the shoulders.
How do I wash this poncho with buttons?
Hand wash it, or use the wool or delicate cycle, and dry it flat. Fasten the buttons before you put it in the machine.
Does the blend feel scratchy on the skin?
No. The 10% cashmere softens the hand of the wool, and the piece is made to be worn against the skin.
Is there anything to pay when it arrives?
No. The price includes duties, taxes, and shipping, and we ship as the importer of record, so there is nothing to pay the carrier on delivery. It ships from Italy by UPS Express, 3–5 business days.
What if I need to send it back?
Free returns within 30 days, with a prepaid UPS label. One free return per order: a second return on the same order is shipped back at your own cost, and nothing is deducted from the refund. Orders placed in November and December can be returned through January 31.

A poncho with buttons down the sides. Fastened, it stays close at the hips and wears like a regular poncho; unfastened, it opens out and drapes over the shoulders like a shawl. Buttoned, in mink, over a cream turtleneck and wide wool pants for the day; open, in black, over a dress for dinner.
